ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Mike McDaniel uses the pen name “Magoo” on all his paintings (a nickname he picked up as a child). He holds a degree in fine arts from Austin Peay State University. He is retired and spends his time painting, wrestling with the banjo, and traveling.
Betty Sue McDaniel began painting in 2008 under the tutelage of award winning artist, Tim Pafford. She holds a RN degree in Nursing from Austin Peay State University. She is retired and spends her time painting, traveling, being a grandmother and helping others.
Glenn McDaniel (1906-2001) worked in various mediums including oil, acrylic, water color. . . and even coffee! His subject matter included landscapes, flowers, and even a few abstracts. His preferred subjects included river boats, old mills, and scenes with historical content that evoke a nostalgia for the quiet country places of yesteryear. He received numerous awards over a period spanning nearly eighty-seven years and is represented in private collections throughout the United States and abroad. His works have been published as coasters, mouse pads, placemats and paperweights.
