Glen McDaniel's Portfolio
The Worm Painting For this painting, McDaniel went out in his backyard and retrieved some of his most “intelligent and creative” earthworms to assist him. He dipped the worms in different colors of watercolor and then placed them on the canvas. What you see is the design that the earthworms themselves made. They were not coerced to move in any direction. . . when one crawled off the canvas, he put another in its place. McDaniel says that he returned the worms to their native habitat after using their talents. . . and more than one appeared to give him a hostile look as they raced to get underground. 1954 Edition: 500 8.5 x 11 – $35

Mabry’s Mill, Meadows of Dan, VA This painting was painted by my father in 1972, but was severely damaged by smoke in a fire in 2005. Only the original image was left intact. I used this image and painted over it adding color. 2014 Edition: 500 – 19 x 13—$30
Old Mill, My father was infatuated by old mills. This painting was started by him back in the last century sometime. We found it partially completed while going through some things after his passing. Dad had sketched the image and painted the mill house, but the rest was left for my imagination. I used his image and painted it using my inventiveness as to what he may have intended.
2019 Edition: 500 – 14 x 10.5—$30
